On The Road Again
The big cities might all have their film festivals, but this doesn't mean regional Australia misses out. The touring film festival Big Screen 2004 visits up to 18 regional and rural towns each year and might be heading your way soon.
"Each festival is held over three or four days in a local cinema and includes contemporary, classic and archival feature length and short films; free screenings for school kids and functions and forums with high profile actors and filmmakers." Cool!
If you're in or near Barcaldine (QLD), Katherine (NT), Warrnambool (VIC), or Mildura (VIC) you're up for a visit in October. The folks in Victor Harbor (SA) and Burnie (TAS) will have to wait until November.
