'Filming Felafel' @ Screensound, Canberra, 9th Nov 04, 7pm

Author John Birmingham will be in Canberra tomorrow night talking about the process of converting his 1994 novel He Died with a Felafel in his Hand into a feature film. There'll be a Q & A session followed by a screening of the film.

From the Screensound site:
AUSTRALIA | 2001 | DIR: RICHARD LOWENSTEIN | 35MM |COLOUR | 104MINS | M

A seemingly unresolved love triangle between three people doomed to chase each other through shared accommodation hell, in a never-ending unrequited, daisy-chain of desire.

Admission $9, $7 concession.
Bookings recommended.
If I recall correctly, the book was a hell of a lot funnier than the dark movie it turned into.
